Remote Opportunity

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Specialist, Communications contributes to PAFC’s communication strategy by helping to create communication, media, web, and social media content in support of PAFC’s mission and objectives. Social media writing, editing, and various forms of media production across a range of platforms are required. Must have work samples in social media content and written communications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists with the planning, development, and production of video and multi-media projects; tracks and accounts for related project time and submits reports as required. Collaborates with other Marketing & Communication teammates, Operations, and other market leaders to identify and clarify project goals, tasks, audio and visual elements, and deadlines. Manages and produces content for multiple PAFC social media platforms and events. Produce and source relevant, engaging, evidence-based content for parents & caregivers. Shoot/edit short video projects. Author audio and video files for archive, distribution and other uses. Ensures compliance with PAFC brand guidelines and communication standards. Graphic design skills and ability to create dynamic collateral. Support other Communication Specialists, Operations, and other market leaders across the full spectrum of PAFC communication work. Contributes to the organization’s achievement of growth, profitability, and short- and long-term financial goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree preferred Degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Video Production, or related field is preferred. High school diploma required.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 3 years work experience and demonstrated success in professional communication. Healthcare experience preferred.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Excellent writing skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills Ability to work courteously and respectfully with patients, co-workers, and vendors. Proven dependability by consistently completing work on-time, following management direction, and maintaining discipline and motivation while working remotely. Strong organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills Must have exceptional attention to detail. Ability to communicate clearly and powerfully through verbal and written correspondence. Knowledge of and experience with web site CMS and multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, and any other platform as they become relevant Proficiency in photography, videography, and editing Ability to work effectively in standard office hardware/software environments.
