Summary:
The Specialist, Credit Risk will assist Freedom Mortgage Credit Risk Department in various tasks. The Credit Risk Specialist will work closely with the VP/Credit Policy to ensure seasoning requirements are met on all GNMA loans pooled for sale to GNMA.
Essential Job Functions:
Review the daily GNMA Pooling, Note Validated and/or Final Approval reports to ensure seasoning is met.
Determine through research of documentation in the file, including Note, Mortgage, credit report, title commitment, payoff, and any other document available, that seasoning requirements are met.
Sort daily reports, assign files to validation reviewers, receive and combine results from validation reviewers once completed, and report back to Capital Markets and VP/Credit Policy any files that do not meet seasoning requirements.
Complete QC of validation reviewers’ work to ensure compliance with seasoning requirements.
Special Projects/additional duties as assigned.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Education and/or Experience:
Zero (0) to two (2) years related work experience.
Language Skills
Individual must have the ability to read and interpret loan file documentation, company policies, procedures, guidelines, reports and legal documents.
Mathematical Skills:
Candidate must be able to use a calculator, Microsoft Excel spreadsheet utilizing Amortization Schedule, and have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Individual must have the ability to define problems, collect pertinent information, determine the facts, and draw valid conclusions.
