The **Specialist, Franchise Management** position supports the Studio Franchise Management team strategy leads in ongoing efforts to partner closely with all Disney Experiences lines of businesses to provide film reference materials and product development guidance to ensure creative and strategic alignment for the Walt Disney Studios Live Action and 20th Century Studios film properties.
Candidate must have excellent organizational skills, design or creative experience or education, and a strong knowledge of and passion for the Disney brand. The person who will thrive in this role has great prioritization and communication skills, as the role interfaces with partners across the whole Disney organization as well as filmmaking teams. Someone with experience routing assets for approval, whether in a production, marketing or product development setting, is a plus.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
**Responsibilities:**
+ Support team strategy leads in the acquisition, organization, security, and tracking of film related assets including, but not limited to, reference photography submissions, 3D character files, and concept artwork from Production. Also responsible for secure distribution of those assets via PIX to key cross company partners for product development purposes.
+ Oversee creative conversations with cross-studio partners on _Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas_ franchise, training partners wherever needed and communicating with Tim Burton Productions
+ Support team strategy leads in the tracking of various materials submitted for approvals (e.g. quotes, film frames/photography, etc.) as well as tracking of product submissions from cross-company partners.
+ Manage creative reviews for product development across all active titles within the department’s purview with the Franchise Management Coordinator to ensure consistent representation of the story and character across the company.
+ Support team strategy leads in the creation and dissemination of branding guides and other reference packs and provide guidance for character, costumes, and props for product development.
+ Support the team strategy leads to ensure creative alignment and strategic prioritization of vault and legacy titles with franchise guidelines, including activations for upcoming release anniversaries and product development.
+ Serve as primary studio brand liaison to studio archives and production archives to support franchise related projects that require downstream asset reference or usages.
+ Facilitate updates, user access management, and system efficiency for our external review systems, PIX and ZenDesk.
+ Support story-driven presentation formatting as needed, including necessary watermarking and dissemination of presentation materials to stakeholders across The Walt Disney Company and 20th Century Studios.
+ Maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality regarding film assets in accordance with defined studio best practices in content security.
+ Coordinate select meeting agendas, take meeting notes, track franchise calendars, and/or support key partner meetings as needed for the role and/or determined by the department leadership.
**Requirements:**
+ 2+ years of professional experience required.
+ Highly collaborative and team-oriented work style
+ Flexible, resourceful, and organized with stellar attention to detail
+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects independently
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ A track record of being able to manage projects from start to finish
+ Excellent computer skills required: Photoshop and Adobe suite, Keynote, Microsoft Office Suite, MAC Proficient – including knowledge of various file types and transfer methods
+ Must be available to work onsite 4 day per week (Monday-Thursday). Fridays are remote with flexibility to work onsite as needed.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred – Media Arts, Visual Arts, Film, or related field
+ Experience in brand/franchise management, product development, film production, film development, or marketing a plus.
+ Previous Disney experience preferred
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $64,300 to $86,200 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
