Job Title: Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer Job ID: 12971 Job Location: Carlstadt, NJ, On-Site Job Schedule: 9/80 – 9 hours Monday – Thursday, 8 hours every other Friday Job Description: The Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer will spend a significant amount of time hands on assembling, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial mixers on the shop floor. They will also develop, implement, and analyze manufacturing engineering plans and projects and communicate them to internal and external customers as required. Essential Functions: + Review design requirements, drawings, and parts lists for manufacturability + Create processes to meet design and workmanship requirements + Evaluate tooling needs and availability + Perform/Assist assembly work and troubleshooting tasks; updated processes as needed + Reviews problem reports; make improvements and corrections to process as warranted + Provide input on Engineering Changes Requests; implement changes into processes + Determine root cause of failures and drive corrective actions + Collects and analyzes quality related data and offers corrective action(s) to help eliminate future defects from occurring + Participates in process improvement activities + Writes and updates workmanship standards + Provide input on engineering specifications + Support OT as needed to meet schedule requirements + Ensures company financial goals are met through timely completion of processes, projects, and other initiatives + Design tooling as needed + CAD experience (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) is highly desired. + Other responsibilities as assigned by management Required Qualifications: + Requires proficient knowledge of job area. May have practical knowledge of project management. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Desired Qualifications: + Advanced technical and operational knowledge and experience of manufacturing of technical devices, such as electric motors, motor controllers, industrial mixing machinery etc. + Demonstrated ability to comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics, wire diagrams, and blueprints.
