Specialist, Payroll Systems role supports system functionality of timekeeping and payroll applications. Provide problem resolution and support to Village Teammates.

Hybrid positions for Federal Way, WA with 1-3 varying days a month in the office.

Essential Function

Troubleshoot and resolve all payroll systems related ServiceNowtickets within the established service level agreements.Process bulk data loads into the payroll system via EnterpriseInterface Builder (EIB).Process daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly tasks. 15%Propose and draft process documentation. Review and provideongoing updates to existing process documentation.Ensure proper use and access controls to the timekeeping andpayroll applications.Test and validate updates of timekeeping and payroll configurationsfor production.Ensure compliance with policy, procedures, and federal, state, andlocal laws as it pertains to timekeeping and payroll.Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma Required

2-4 years of relevant experience required

Qualifications

Required:

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively.Demonstrated strengths in organizational, attention-to-detail, follow-through, analytical, reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with payroll systems, preferably Kronos and Workday.Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook.

Preferred:

Working knowledge of general ledger accounting functions, specifically accounting strings.Functional knowledge of payroll processes and procedures.Multi-state payroll processing experience.Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)

Travel and Time Requirements

Up to 5% Travel and up to 5% Nights/Weekends

Salary/ Wage Range

$18.50 - $30.00 / hour

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
