The Specialist, Private Brands Commercialization will assist and support either the Sr. Manager, Private Brands Commercialization, Manager, Private Brand Commercialization and/or Associate Manager, Private Brands Commercialization throughout product development and the existing portfolio lifecycle of branded products and is responsible for ensuring the completion and the commercialization cycle of the Vitamin Shoppe portfolio of private brands.

Responsibilities Supports Sr. Manager, Private Brands Commercialization, Manager, Private Brand Commercialization and/or Associate Manager, Private Brands Commercialization in cross-functional execution and support of business performance. Optimizes business processes between finance, business operations, quality, supply chain and inventory planning.Ability with guidance, to use forecast demand for both short term and long-term sales; basic understanding of logistics and the effect on store and warehouse fill rates, inventory, and shelf life, and the results these areas have on company profitability.Facilitate and hold accountable all internal and external responsible parties in meeting project deadlines throughout the commercialization process. Ensure all stage gates are completed accurately and on time, based on established target timelines for new item launches and existing portfolio projects.Maintain internal tracking data sets to measure the success and timing of each new launch.Partner with multiple internal and external functional teams to facilitate and ensure complete accurate required documentation for products in a timely manner.

Other Functions:

Supports strategic organizational objectives and initiatives as necessary.Performs other duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

No direct supervisory experience Qualifications

Education/Certification:                                        

Bachelor’s Degree in science or business-related field preferred or equivalent combination of intellectual instruction and work experience.

Required Knowledge:

Working knowledge of Dietary Supplement and/or Food formulation, product development, and product commercialization processFamiliarity and ability to apply/comply with common product Certification programs such as Organic, Non-GMO, NSF, DSHEA and others as neededProject Management Principles and Stage Gate Process Applications

Experience required:                                              

1 – 3 years of Product Development or Consumer Package Goods experience is preferred.High ability and comfort level working in a fast-paced environment

Skill and Ability:                                                          

Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to bring process and organization to complex scenariosProficient in MS Office Tools and adaptability to other cloud based platformsSelf-Motivated: Ability to work independently as well with a team.Achievement mindset, creative, agile, solution-focused, bias for action
