Provides leadership to team of employees responsible for receiving, logging, and converting Customer's product data into formats used by our systems (Bills of Materials, preferred supplier information). Initiates Engineering change Orders. Supports Data Associate positions as a mentor. Responsible for implementing process improvements and ensuring the quality of all data. Communicates with teams from all areas of engineering and supply chain as appropriate. Works with internal and external customers to resolve data integrity issues. Ensures the proper storage and ease of retrieval of the data. Disseminates notification of data readiness and/or distributes data as appropriate. Acts as the focal point for all product data related technical issues. Interacts with customers to resolve problems and increase the quality and yield of the product data release process.
Detailed Description Understand Celestica and Customer requirements and lead projects to ensure to meet Celestica/Customer goals. Receive process and log all customers data; will have responsibilities for major accounts plus leading Data Associates/Analysts/ specialists on customers within same segment. Examples of customer data include B/M, who to buy from i.e name of supplier, instructions on how to assemble and E/C's Initiates Engineering Change Orders Responsible for implementing process improvements and ensuring the quality of all data. Communicates with teams from all areas of engineering and supply chain as appropriate Works with internal and external customers to resolve data integrity issues Ensures the proper storage and ease of retrieval of the data Disseminates notification of data readiness and/or distributees data as appropriate. Acts as the focal point for all product data related technical issues. Interacts with customers to resolve problems and increase the quality and yield of the product data release process. Is the S2P focal point to Clients for coordinating the setup of both technical and commercial data from data receipt to info record setup into ERP. Coordinates and manages the material cost activity for select customers and/or sites with minimal as appropriate Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Data management and processing. Skills in usage of computer tools and systems. Understanding of product structure and electronics/mechanical components High level understanding of commercial data required for quoting and PO placements, typically obtained from experience supporting operations Strong system skills, including common office platforms such as MS Office and Access Knowledge of Supply Chain practices and procedures. Physical Demands Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc) are frequently required. Typical Experience3-5 years relevant experience
Typical EducationBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
