The Product Information Systems Specialist will be responsible for the successful management, training, and continuous improvement of the processes governed within our Merchandising and Product Information Management (PIM) systems at The Vitamin Shoppe. The key responsibilities of this role include vendor onboarding, product data and vendor compliance governance, data cleansing initiatives, and leading efforts to obtain accurate data from our vendors for a best-in-class customer experience.

Responsibilities Serve as owner and subject matter expert of the PIM system with an emphasis on understanding how the system works, the processes within it, and how they impact other areas of the organizationLead efforts to onboard, re-train and support all users of the PIM (both vendors and internal team members) on the standards, processes, and functionality within the tool used to manage accurate merchandising data. This includes but is not limited to the creation and maintenance of training materials, process documentation, and one-on-one sessions with the vendor community and cross-functional teamsServe as the business/vendor-facing point of contact for the PIM and lead day-to-day operations and project initiatives designed to support the vendor community in their efforts to setup, maintain, and improve their product data within the item catalogReview product data quality and workflow compliance metrics and create/utilize resources such as reporting and dashboards to troubleshoot and address data quality, workflow, and vendor compliance issuesOrchestrate and execute data quality and maintenance tasks needed to meet all merchandising and vendor management needs. This includes but is not limited to data entry/uploads, attribute maintenance, vendor account management, and digital transformation initiatives.Drive innovation by identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities based on analysis of day-to-day processes and reoccurring issuesWork as Merchandising conduit to IT on all projects involving data mapping, merchandising system enhancements, and upgrades ensuring all changes are tested and completed accuratelySupport Merchandising Operations team members as needed on tasks and special projects Qualifications

Education/Certification:  

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Merchandising or equivalent experience

Required Knowledge:

Intermediate level experience with 1 or more systems used in the following business functions:PIM - (STIBO STEP preferred)Merchandising - (JDA ERP preferred)Intermediate or Advanced level of Microsoft Office

Experience Required:

2+ years professional experience
