Job Description:
Experienced professional with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of project management. May manage projects or processes with general supervision. Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. Recommends enhancements to systems and processes. Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.
Essential Functions:
+ Directs all phases of production, development and design qualification programs, from inception through completion.
+ Manages concurrency dependencies between active hardware and software development and qualification, which overlap with manufacturing production.
+ Ability to consider and negotiate complex changes across multiple contracts to ensure favorable net benefit for the company.
+ Deep technical product understanding, including software, mechanical, and electrical performance considerations. Serves as a technical decision maker for both the internal project teams and influencer of customer technical stakeholders.
+ Drives program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs.
+ Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
+ Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions.
+ Serves as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
+ Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.
+ Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
+ Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas
+ Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience in Program Management. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
+ PMP Cert or ability to obtain within 1 year.
Preferred Additional Skills:
+ Experience interfacing and managing customers and government stakeholders
+ Soft skills (I.E. Proficient in MS Office, Strong communication…)
+ EVMS
