Job Description:
At L3Harris Flight Data Services, we provide an outsourced Flight Data Monitoring service to aircraft operators worldwide. It is important to deliver insights to customers in a presentable and timely manner, enabling them to take action to reduce costs and improve safety to save lives.
L3Harris Flight Data Services has the largest flight data monitoring platform in the world; the R&D team supports & develops capabilities and ad-hoc analysis for this platform. As a Software Tester, you will create test cases, execute manual and automated tests, document results and manage defects. You will communicate and work closely with internal customers and the Software Development Team to ensure high standards of the deliverables.
Essential Functions:
+ Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Locust, Appium).
+ Collaborate with developers and other testers to develop effective strategies and test plans.
+ Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployment and release processes.
+ Identify, document, and track bugs, defects, and issues found during testing; collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
+ Develop automated performance and load tests to validate system scalability, reliability, and performance.
+ Execute automated test scripts, analyze results, and provide meaningful reports to stakeholders.
+ Perform manual testing where required.
+ Set up, configure, and maintain test environments and test data to support various testing scenarios.
+ Create and maintain detailed documentation of automated test scripts, test plans, and test cases.
+ Provide training and support to test team members on automation techniques and best practices.
+ Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in software testing and test automation.

Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
+ Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer or similar role.
+ Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript.
+ Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Playwright).
+ Ability to transform high-level directions into stories and to manage your own workload.
+ Ability to come up with thorough manual test cases.
+ Experience with API testing and automation tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
+ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
+ Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and software development processes.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
+ Experience with mobile testing frameworks (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest).
+ Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
+ Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust, LoadRunner).
+ Good decision-making ability.
+ Ability to pay attention to minute details.
+ Ability to work individually and in a team as and when required.
+ Working well even under pressure.
+ Meeting deadlines.
+ Working knowledge of JIRA or similar tools.
+ Working knowledge of SQL.
