Purpose Statement To initiate, monitor and control suitable debt recovery processes, to ensure the optimal realization of various collateral types held across all product offerings, in respect of the relevant non-performing loan portfolio. To provide specialist inputs (relating to Pre-legal Collections – Rehabilitation, insolvencies and deceased estates) towards: maximising recoveries and impairment releases  minimising recovery costs and impairment raises Financial assessment, negotiation and restructure of distressed debt Qualifications (Minimum) Bachelor's Degree in Law Experience

Minimum:

At least 3 - 5 years in a banking environment comprising of at least 2 years in a Collections / Recoveries space

 

Ideal: 

5+ years in a banking environment comprising of 3+ years in a Collections / Recoveries space Knowledge

Minimum: 

The whole credit life-cycle Broad business knowledge and acumen Insolvency legislation and processes  Banking and Financial Services Industry Debt Recovery processes  Collateral variants / types

 

Ideal:

Understanding of: Commercial, business, and financial principles and practices  Governance and risk management principles Data analytics Banking and Financial Services Industry  Skills Negotiation skills Problem solving skills Interpersonal & Relationship management Skills Analytical Skills Computer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook) Conditions of Employment Clear criminal and credit record
