About the role:

The Services team are at the core of Pharmacy operations and work closely with Central Operations, Pharmacy field team and senior pharmacy leaders. We’re passionate about creating and maintaining clear operational guidance for stores to support with the delivery of healthcare services.

As an Operations Lead, you will report to the Pharmacy Operations Manager-Services, and work in conjunction with a small team of Pharmacy Operation Assistants and Leads, whilst working closely with central, store, and field teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with store and field teams to manage and improve compliance and operational performance in line with business key performance indicators

• Building close relationships with key stakeholders for continuous project collaboration delivery

• Writing, reviewing and updating operational guidance documents for healthcare services

• Effective management of store and third-party queries or requests

• Work to make stores processes more simpler and easier for colleagues

• Continued consideration of patient service experience

• Proactively supporting the Pharmacy field team in current process, current reality and expectations

• Exploring creative solutions to optimise existing processes and ways of working

• Providing central support for the development, engagement, implementation, and rollout of any new pharmacy service

• Cross-functional working throughout the development and management of our services

• Accurate data reporting to support projects

• Engage with Communications to send important information and messages to stores about services

• Supporting the Operation Assistant with upskilling

 

What you’ll need to have:

• Strong organisational skills

• Ability to prioritise and manage your own time

• IT proficient

• Ability to manage multiple workload streams appropriately

• Quick to adapt to change and comfortable working with ambiguity

• Ability to work at different paces

• Confidence to take ownership of critical pieces of work or KPIs

• Passion to strive for excellence in delivery

 

It would be great if you also have:

• Experience of working in store or community pharmacy environment

• Confidence to challenge in the face of poor compliance or ineffective processes

• Experience in creating and writing guidance’s for stores/ other areas
