Our Technical Operations team comprises aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help ensure our planes are well looked after and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. Key responsibilities:

As a Specialist in Safety Programs within our Ground Service Equipment (GSE) and Facilities group, you’ll play a key role in keeping our operations safe and compliant. Working closely with Technical Operations leadership, you’ll help drive United’s safety goals by providing critical information and practices to reduce injuries, minimize damage, and ensure compliance with FAA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.

Actively contribute to safety initiatives across the GSE and Facilities divisions.Lead and support self-audits, health campaigns, and evaluations of new equipment and facilities to sustain a robust safety culture.Investigate safety events, develop containment strategies, and implement corrective actions.Provide training support and work with department safety advocates to uphold a strong safety presence.Incorporate SMS principles and industry best practices in GSE/FX operations.Reviews current and new safety and operational programs, policy and procedure formation, and training for proper safety and compliance consideration and measure.Evaluate existing and new safety programs, policies, and training materials to ensure they meet the highest safety and compliance standards.Analyze safety trends, identify risks, and coordinate the implementation of corrective action plans with leadership.
