Specialist - Accounting Operations

The Global Marsh Advisory Accounting team is responsible for accounting and financial reporting.  Marsh Advisory Consultants provide a wide array of services and expertise to help clients understand, measure, and respond to risk, as well as recover from any losses. 

We are currently seeking candidates for the Specialist- Accounting Operations position based in our Urbandale, Iowa office.

We will count on you to: 

Create financial processes and procedures that are aligned, efficient and effective via financial analysis, reporting and planning.Oversee accountability for day-to-day accounting processes and systems, ensuring accurate processing, recording, and reporting of financial information.Continue to streamline processes, as well as create and communicate standardized procedures and policies to adhere to SOX and enable more efficient processes.Adhere to the accounting principles and practices and regulatory environment and ensure these principles and practices are applied in the daily work.Advise Senior Management on financial impact of strategic decisions, tactical, and operational matters.Manage projects from the implementation of new software modules to capturing and storing additional timekeeper, client and project data for teams assigned. Partner with technology resources in the development and support of systems.Supervise month-end close process

What you need to have:  

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field3 – 5 years of accounting experienceExcellent communication/interpersonal skills and ability to interact with both clients and colleagues in a fast-moving professional team environment.Strong financial and analytical skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications including advanced Excel knowledge.
