Position Title : Specialist - Analytics BI
Reports to : Program Manager- Analytics BI
Position summary :
Specialist is responsible for Designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solution using Power BI. This position requires advanced technical expertise with SSIS, Power BI , SQL and Snowflake tools as well as a passion for innovating business processes. The analyst must be comfortable coordinating directly with clients, business stakeholders, and R1 product deployment teams to complete new data acquisition and data pipelines. This position is also responsible for solving data quality related issues and guiding other analysts to formulate and implement appropriate courses of action. This person must be an expert software developer and data analyst who will lead collaboration with other analysts to ensure accuracy and timeliness of project completion.
Key duties & responsibilities :
Etl Package Development using SSIS and ADFPower BI Performance tuning, modeling, and optimizationAbility to look at various data load options and suggest an optimal way of proceedingExcellent understanding of tools functions, limitations, and hidden featuresCapacity estimation and administrationComponent with power BI Desktop, Gateway, service, and report server.Design, document and develop complex MS Power Platform (Power BI, Power APPs, etc.) solutionsStay up to data on all new power BI features and functionalization and find ways to introduce them to the organization.Data profiling, and data warehousing and Data lakes (preferable on snowflake)Knowledge in Agile Software developmentTSQL, SQL – database modeling, design, testing implementations and integrationStrong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) along with strong planning and organization skillsExcellent team player, ability to work independently and as part of a teamExperience in mentoring junior developers and providing technical leadershipCertified in power BI is an added advantageExperience, Skills and Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience is required Minimum 3 – 4 years’ experience. 5+ years of data analysis and SQL and SSIS Development experience is required Demonstrated exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail Excellent communications and strong commitment for delivering the highest level of service Ability to communicate with technical and business resources at many levels in a manner that supports progress and success.Technical Skills -
