About The Role OurSpecialist Buyeris responsible for sourcing, purchasing, planning, and managing finished goods, sub-assemblies, and other items as required from suppliers to meet the Sales and Operations Plan. With deep expertise in a particular product or service area, the Specialist Buyer ensures that the company acquires the highest-quality materials or services at competitive prices while maintaining supplier relationships, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. This role involves market research, cost management, reporting on procurement metrics, and negotiating contracts with suppliers to optimize procurement outcomes, contributing to the overall efficiency and profitability of the organization. What We Are Looking For * Source and procure specialized products or services, ensuring they meet company quality standards and specifications. * Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure the best terms, prices, and delivery schedules. * Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to inform purchasing decisions. * Manage inventory levels, working closely with logistics to ensure timely delivery without overstocking. * Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost-effective solutions. * Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing. * Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, and industry standards in all procurement activities. * Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements. * Contribute to cost-saving initiatives while ensuring the continuity of supply and quality. What You Will Bring * Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations Management, Engineering, General Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred. * 4 years’ experience in tactical procurement with an OEM or Contract Manufacturer OR 2 years of experience in supply chain-focused analytics. * Strong, concise communication skills (written & verbal) with the ability to influence/persuade while working across various levels of the organization. * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and work in Cross-Functional teams. * Ability to work independently with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment * Must be detail-oriented and organized and possess good problem-solving & analytical skills. * Experience with Microsoft Office suite - Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, PowerBI. * Strong negotiation and analytical skills are required. * Excellent organizational and analytical abilities. * Proven ability to manage budgets and reduce procurement costs. * Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. * Previous knowledge or experience with REACH, ROHS, WEEE, CalProp 65, etc. * PPAP experience (Production Part Approval Process) & After-Market or Service-related buying experience preferred. * Working knowledge of Oracle is preferred. * Domestic and international supplier negotiations are a plus. * Industrial experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. **Title:** *Specialist Buyer* **Location:** *SC-Rock Hill* **Requisition ID:** *2500001Q*
