The Content Strategy and Curation team, which falls under the Programming Operations umbrella, is a creative, tenacious, well-prepared, and principled team. Our mandate is to manage the selection and merchandising of content on the home page and elsewhere across our video platforms. Management of the customer experience overall is central to the team’s work and we relentlessly strive to make the DISH and Sling TV experiences best in class. **Job Duties and Responsibilities** This is your chance to be a part of a team that is transforming entertainment by changing the perception of television and how it can be enjoyed. We seek an energetic, highly motivated individual to join the Content Strategy and Curation team as a Specialist. Our team is responsible for planning and executing home page experiences to support DISH and Sling’s multi-platform business. The Specialist will start in editorial tactics, which will become more strategic as time goes on. While focused on their responsibilities, they will be collaborating with teams and individuals at many levels of the organization, including reps from Marketing, Product Management, Content Acquisition, and Engineering. **Key Responsibilities:** + Manage the editorial creation of content shelves and their constituent TV/film live and On Demand titles in our content management system + Identify and analyze trends and patterns within the broader media landscape and synthesize these learnings into our overall content strategy + Build and maintain a deep understanding of DISH & Sling programming, calendars, channels, subscription on demand, and transactional content inventory + Assist in developing strategies and tactics of content shelf creation + Work with product and engineering to optimize workflows and troubleshoot inefficiencies in our content management system + Monitor all content shelves daily to ensure execution is successful and troubleshoot potential issues in real-time + Maintain workflow, process, and technical documentation + Other duties and responsibilities as required **Skills, Experience and Requirements** **Education and Experience:** + Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience + 1 to 3 years of professional experience **Skills and Qualifications:** + In-depth knowledge of TV, movies, and sports desired + Strong interest or experience in editorial or curation strategy + Experience with content management systems and video-on-demand platforms desired + Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and excellence + Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize in order to meet deadlines + Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with many levels of management to present information in a professional and effective manner + Proficiency in Google Workplace applications, emphasis on Sheets **Salary Ranges** Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year **Benefits** We offer versatile health perks, including flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, career opportunities, and a flexible time away plan; all benefits can be viewed here: DISH Benefits . The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
