We are looking to hire a skilled embedded software engineer to join our dynamic software team. As an embedded software engineer, you will be responsible for executing complete embedded software life cycles for company and client hardware. 


Your key responsibilities also include: - 

Designing and implementing Driver and Application software of thermal embedded devices and systems  Verification/Validation and debugging system software. Analyzing and enhancing efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources Integrate and validate new product designs. Support software QA and optimize I/O performance. Provide post-production support. Interface with hardware design and development Develop Driver and Application Software from Scratch for New Generation Vehicle Architecture Support cross functional Teams with control logic and AI/ML implementations. Contribute with component and system engineers to define and verify the actions agreed related to virtual simulation in FMEA, to reduce the probability of failure occurrences. Establish a strong network with global counterparts and cross functions. Take full responsibility and independently deliver the planned tasks as well as guide junior analysts within the software team. Develop the strategy to integrate data analytics and machine learning in the models ultimately leading to development of thermal management digital twins in collaboration with the data analytics and machine learning team

Thermal Management is a department within Vehicle Technology responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining an optimized cab climate and vehicle cooling & heating systems for all types of propulsion installations to all truck brands within the Volvo Group. 

We are responsible for leading the work with strategies and advanced engineering globally. We are located at Gothenburg & Bengaluru, and we have close cooperation with the sites in Greensboro and Lyon. 

We understand the final customer needs and apply our knowledge to develop technical concepts and solutions that satisfy customer and business needs. The work is based on innovation, shared technology, common architecture, and brand uniqueness.

Relevant Experience: 

 

ME/Mtech/BE/BTech in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science with minimum 10+ years of experience in Automotive Embedded SW development within the distributed systems & Thermal management and/or Relevant Automotive System Good knowledge in Vector Autosar, Matlab, Simulink, C, C++ and Python, ASPICE Process Engineering degree in Electronics or Computer Science or Relevant Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets. Proven experience in embedded systems design with pre-emptive, multitasking real-time operating systems. Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review Excellent knowledge of coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components Strong documentation and writing skills. Critical thinker. Knowledge of the product development life cycle and change management activities for maintenance are required for this role. Leading tasks independently, good planning and monitoring skills. Experience in future technologies (e-MOB, Fuel Cell, automation) in Software Development Should have experience in leading small teams (8+) Good in compiling and presenting information verbally and in writing.
