Specialist - Facility Maintenance

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Site Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Clinical Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. What we’re looking for :Education: NA, high school diploma and/or GED preferred Experience: No experience necessary, but must have the willingness to learn and have a mechanical aptitude  Collaboration Tool: various types of maintenance equipment and tools    Preferred Qualifications:  some HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance a plus, but not mandatoryHow you will thrive and create an impact :As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will perform general maintenance and repair duties including light carpentry, basic electrical, HVAC, grounds maintenance, arranging furniture and partitions, assist employees with internal moves, receive formal training in one or more trades. In this role, you will also:Be responsible for the Inspections, Maintenance, Documentation and Training of the Archives’ facilities and equipment.Maintain and keep current all maintenance logbooks and exercise logbooks.Coordinate with outside vendors for inspections and service.Keep the Supervisor - Facility Maintenance (US) informed on the day-to-day state of the Archives, including irregularities and deviations from the normal.Use knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures of the Archives.Be aware of technical problems that may affect quality or safety, and bringing them to the attention of the Facility Supervisor.Maintain manufacturer’s maintenance specifications and industry standards.Perform general building maintenance and internal ad hoc maintenance requests to your best ability.Maintain inventory and accountability of all company tools.Have the ability to solve certain technical problems with the help of the Facility Supervisor and/or Archives personnel.Perform of other duties as assigned by the Facility Supervisor and Facility Operations Management.
