Specialist I, Vendor Management

 

  POSITION PROFILE

To build and maintain vendor relationships, monitor vendor performance against KPI target levels, and ensure vendor compliance with established standards. 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities Owns the supply chain relationship with the vendors who supply inventory items and/or professional services. Participates in contract reviews and coordinates contract renewals, changes/addendums with appropriate internal teams.  Negotiates pricing, improved lead times, and identifies opportunities for cost savings and avoidance. Leads vendor management reviews detailing vendor performance, spend, price changes and opportunities for improvement. Works with Supply Planners to mitigate impact from vendor service disruptions. Partners with Marketing team to support vendor selection and setup process. Establish standards and drive vendors to adhere to procurement procedures.  Support RFQ/RFI initiatives. Manages the sourcing and item set up process and maintains vendor sourcing rules, sourcing assignments, and lead times. Collaborate with the off-site buyer team on PO execution, ensure KPI targets are met, and vendor updates

 

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications) Bachelor's degree is Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. At least 1-2 years of experience working in Supply Chain, manufacturing and/or vendor management environments.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, And Abilities Strong mathematic and analytical skills Proficient ln MS Office Suite is required, with emphasis on Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to write and present reports and recommendations. Experience in negotiation Experience in contract management

 

Working Conditions, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Typically, an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise level Work assignments are diversified. Interpret, comprehend, and apply complex material, data, and instruction – prepare, provide, and convey diversified information. Minimal physical effort required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, or carrying objects that typically with less than 10 lbs. (e.g., papers, books, files, and small parts, etc.) Moderate dexterity – regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, eye/hand coordination Approximately 10% travel is required, subject to specific business needs.
