Responsibilities: •Ability to configure Teradata Database and ecosystem components like Query Grid, DSA, and Data mover on Various Teradata platforms like Teradata Intelliflex, Cloud (Preferably Azure), and Teradata on VMWare. •Should be able to troubleshoot and isolate the issues on larger Teradata platforms, including infrastructure, not at the database level. •Should be able to drive the major RCA calls for troubleshooting issues, including teams across infrastructure, platform engineering, and application support. •Capacity Review, Projection, and planning for Hybrid Teradata infrastructure spanned across on-prem and cloud. •Should be able to design and implement migration strategy for applications to migrate from on-prem to cloud. •Create, review, and optimize a rich and varied Semantic data model across physical and virtual implementations through a critical understanding of relational database development, the Teradata platform, and the various reporting and analytics tools and use cases. •Writes and tunes complex SQL queries on large database systems with deep understanding and specialization in Teradata. •Ability to perform data administration and maintenance tasks, including user, performance, and space management. •Skilled in failover, backup and recovery strategy, and environment setup, preferably DSA, NetBackup & Teradata Data mover •Demonstrates excellent communication skills with proven ability to work with various cross-functional IT and business team members and help gather data integration and reporting requirements from multiple business domains and stakeholders. •Works directly with team members and IT leadership to help classify and prioritize work efforts and tasks across technical and business drivers for data warehouse initiatives and projects. Desire skillsets: •Have in-depth knowledge of Teradata Platform architecture, including Underlying Hardware Infrastructure •Strong Knowledge of the Linux Operating System, storage array technologies, and Network infrastructure used in Teradata Platforms •Basic knowledge of VM Ware Technologies like VMWare vSphere, VSAN, Virtual networking, and Azure cloud.
