Quality Assurance Specialist
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist, II to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products and software solutions. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans, analyzing test results, and identifying and resolving defects.
Role and Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Execution:
+ · Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans and test cases.
+ · Execute functional, regression, integration, and performance tests.
+ · Utilize test automation tools and/or write your own automated tests to increase efficiency and coverage.
+ · Identify and report defects in a timely and accurate manner.
Quality Assurance Processes:
+ · Collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements and design specifications.
+ · Participate in code reviews and design walkthroughs to ensure quality standards are met.
+ · Contribute to the continuous improvement of our quality assurance processes.
+ · Adhere to industry best practices and quality standards.
Documentation:
+ · Create and maintain clear and concise documentation, including test plans, test cases, defect reports, user guides, and create/maintain knowledgebases. · Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
+ Fulfill hardware, software, and access requests from Collaborators with an emphasis on delivering outstanding customer service.
Customer Support:
+ Provide level 2 technical support to customers and internal teams regarding product quality and issues.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve customer-reported issues.
+ Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure a positive experience.
+ Maintain a repository of all support questions and create solutions/documentation of the most reported issues.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
+ 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
+ Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
+ Experience with test automation tools.
+ Experience with scripting languages.
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Experience with API testing and performance testing.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Experience working in an Agile development environment.
+ Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
+ Previous remote work experience.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience with technology and troubleshooting.
+ Related IT certifications are desirable.
+ Familiarity with ITIL framework preferred.
Salary $68,800.00 - $77,400.00
All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will pay for travel and lodging accommodations.
