Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred. Three years of program development, marketing, promotions, campus-wide programming in a student-oriented environment, or related experience. Knowledge of University alumni relations and database management is preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered. Nature & Purpose of Position Coordinates, markets, and implements campus events, activities, and membership drives to engage students and encourage participation actively. Oversees and directs all aspects of the Student Alumni Association (SAA) and builds a strong, cohesive leadership team to facilitate student engagement. Facilitates relationship building with students to transition them through the student-to-alumni life cycle. Primary Responsibilities Creates, implements, leads, and coordinates all aspects of a university-wide student engagement program, student and family member programs, student/alumni mentor programs, and philanthropic and community service programs. Leads courses of action and implements proposed solutions that increase student engagement aligned to the Office of Alumni Relations & Annual Giving engagement outcomes and the university strategic plan. Oversees the Alumni Association scholarship program for students and provides direct guidance and support for the Alumni Association Board of Directors scholarship committee. Provides a seamless transition from student to alumni following graduation. Works under the direction of the Director of Alumni Membership & Engagement to coordinate the ring program to include ring sales and ceremonies. Develops, coordinates, and markets student engagement programs, events, and activities throughout the year. Works closely with campus partners to provide student/alumni mentoring, leadership activities, and programming. Works closely with the Student Giving Program through the Office of Annual Giving Office to enhance synergy for both programs. Performs other related duties as assigned. Other Specifications Contact with student organizations, university departments/colleges, personnel, and outside agencies is required. Careful focus and attention will be dedicated to managing relationships with key University administrators, department heads, alumni leaders, and donors. Must have excellent interpersonal communication and phone skills, demonstrated organizational ability, and focused on details and quality control. Must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines with little supervision., Must be a take-charge professional with the ability to plan and manage logistics and multiple projects in support of the Office of Alumni Relations in a fast-paced environment. The position requires some work during the evening and on weekends, and occasional travel according to the department’s needs.
