Position Summary We are in search of an innovative Specialist in AI and Educational Technology to spearhead the integration of AI and emerging technologies into the veterinary and biomedical sciences curricula and programs within the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing cutting-edge technologies to enhance teaching and learning, prioritizing the practical application of AI and other emerging instructional technologies while maintaining a strong foundation in instructional design. This position requires a unique blend of skills in educational technology, instructional design, and an in-depth understanding of veterinary and/or biomedical sciences. This position is primarily in-person with an opportunity for hybrid work in the future. Required Job Qualifications + Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Computer Science, AI, VR, or a related field and 5 or more years of professional experience in a biomedical sciences field (e.g., anatomy, physiology, etc.) OR + Advanced degree (Master’s, PhD, DVM , or related) in a Biomedical Sciences field (e.g., anatomy, physiology, etc.) and 5 or more years of professional experience in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Computer Science, AI, VR, and/or a related field. Professional experience may include time spent working towards a degree. + Demonstrated experience in implementing AI technologies + Demonstrated proficiency in facilitating professional development in educational technology in a university setting. + Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. + Effective communication skills, capable of working with various stakeholders in an educational environment. + Commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion Preferred Job Qualifications + Experience in teaching or curriculum development in veterinary and/or biomedical sciences. + Demonstrated experience in implementing AI technologies within a university setting. + Ability to manage and lead projects involving diverse teams.
