What's the role?BNEF is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Tokyo-based commercial team who manage a wide range of client portfolios across Japan and Korea. The team is responsible for originating new client relationships, while renewing and growing existing clients, and driving partnership discussions.Are you someone who has a passion for the energy sector and wants to be at the forefront of this exciting industry? We’ll trust you to:Source new business opportunities and identify leads for BNEF services across energy, automotive, technology and financial industriesManage, renew and up-sell a book of clientsAssist your colleagues by helping to book meetings and calls with senior decision makersAct as an initial point of contact for incoming sales leadsRespond to client requests promptly and thoroughlyHelp maintain accurate customer and sales information in our internal systemsAssist in the preparation of major commercial activities, such as content presentations to senior audiencesCoordinate and manage the logistics of client events
You’ll need to have:Prior experience in a sales / commercial roleBusiness-level presentation and communication skills in Korean and EnglishKnowledge and/or interest in the energy sector, preferably with an understanding of the energy transitionAbility to work effectively on a close-knit and collaborative teamProven ability to manage several tasks at the same time, with a rigorous attention to detailPositive attitude, intellectual curiosity, initiative, and an ability to face challenges in a mature and professional mannerAbility to travel - this role is based in Tokyo with weekly travel to Korea for client meetings
