Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Actively developing (coding) applications, working closely with peer developers and QA team members across scrum teams in designing, developing, testing, modernizing, supporting, and integrating client facing user interface components and supporting services. Collaborate with product owners and business partners to define strategy and scope of software requirements (decompose narratives, design features, and prioritize tasks). Working with scrum team members as well as dependency development partners on the full software development life cycle. Utilize automated software test tools and frameworks such as test-driven development to achieve the highest quality in software delivery. Support integration efforts to build whole systems from various subsystems. Identify technology risks early and establish mitigation plans. Create dashboards and alerts for monitoring and troubleshooting the applications in production. Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

 

Salary:  $106,520.02 - $143,600.00

What you have

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Requires 1 year of progressive, post-Bachelor’s related experience, which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and use of design patterns; Design and Development of Enterprise Applications using Java and J2EE; Authenticating and authorizing applications using SAML and OAUTH; Distributed messaging using IBM MQ, message brokers, and Rabbit MQ; Developing microservices using Spring Boot and Pivotal Cloud Foundry; Developing relational databases including DB2 and MySQL; and Application development, including client/server, web components, web services, and micro components/services.
