Specialist - Video (Part-time as Needed)

The integrated full-service solutions leverage a 97-year legacy in event management as well as new technologies to deliver moments that matter. **Summary** The Video Specialist will assist the Account Executive or Production Manager in specifying Video equipment in response to the needs of our clients, based on budgetary guidelines and accepted technical standards. Supervise labor crews and assist with the planning and organization of delivery, setup and dismantle of equipment at show site. This role will help cover special events for intermittent periods of time with scheduled hours fluctuating weekly. This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week based out of Orlando, FL. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities** + Assist AE’s and PM’s in specifying proper equipment and labor requirements for events. + Supervise on-site video crew personnel efficiently and effectively. + Install and operate the following equipment: Multi-camera video switching systems including, but not limited to: DLP and LCD type video/data projectors and projection screens, monitors.and Video players/recording devices. + Maintain accurate equipment counts prior to load-in, on show site and upon return to shop. + Assist in the pulling, bar-coding, loading and restoring of equipment for shows. + Serve as customer service liaison to the client when required. + Ensure that company safety guidelines are followed and implemented in the shop and on show site. + Stay current with new and developing trends in the video industry. + Promotes positive team atmosphere in the shop and on show site. + Take direction and follow cues in a live show environment. + Read scripts and execute cues in a live show environment. **Education & Experience** + High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required + 3+ years experience with large-scale professional video systems. + 1+ year experience with rack wiring and portable video system assembly. + 3+ years of hands on experience in timing and engineering component and composite video systems, and directing/calling camera shots. + Understanding of power distribution systems and ground loop isolation. + Must have an excellent understanding of video theory and practice, including signal flow and troubleshooting. + Must know how to correctly operate Waveform Monitor / Vectorscope and multimeters. + 3+ years directing cameras and switching a live show. + Preferred 2+ years hands on experience with large, staging oriented projectors such as Barco, Christie and Digital Projections. + Knowledgeable in Vector Works (CAD Program), Microsoft Word, and Excel. + Valid state drivers license required. **Travel Requirements** Travel 50% to 75% **What We Offer** Our part-time as needed positions are not benefit eligible; however, these roles are eligible to participate in: + Retirement with Company Match **Diversity Commitment** At Freeman, our commitment to diversity and inclusion is helping us to create not only a great place to work, but also an environment where our employees, our customers and our communities around the world can reach their goals and connect with each other.
