CAMBA’s Workforce Development and Refugee Services programs annually provide thousands of low income community members with culturally competent case management, employment, education, vocational training, benefits access, health, financial literacy and English language services, in house and by referral. CAMBA specializes in assisting those with special barriers to employment including low skilled workers, long-term unemployed, immigrants and refugees, limited English speakers, formerly homeless, seniors, formerly incarcerated, trauma survivors and victims of human trafficking. These programs are performance-based, and success is measured by meeting enrollment, employment placement, training, retention and case management goals.
Position: Specialized Employer Partnership Developer
Reports To: Program DIrector
Location: 955 Flatbush Ave, 4th Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11226
What The Specialized Employer Partnership Developer Does:
+ Research and regularly initiate contact with potential employers in the NY Metro area.
+ Develop and maintain an accurate database of prospective employer contact information.
+ Build a pool of job openings in various sectors, including industries that are well matched to clients with professional skill sets.
+ Maintain excellent relationships and timely communication with potential employers.
+ Identify and source partnership opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls, emails, and visits.
+ Request current job openings from existing and potential employers daily, obtaining as much information on the position as possible.
+ Supervise a team of Job Developers by overseeing workload and performance outcomes.
+ Support Job Developers to expand their networking, employer outreach, and job development skills to generate employment outcomes for clients.
+ Work closely with Job Developers, Career Advisors, and Resettlement Coordinators to promote open positions and identify suitable candidates.
+ Schedule interviews and coordinate between Job Developer and hiring manager.
+ Request feedback from employers regarding client interviews and share with Job Developer.
+ Periodically request documentation from employers to meet both placement and retention goals.
+ Collaborate with community partners and outside agencies, cultivating relationships to expand the department's capacity for education, outreach, and programming.
+ Plan hiring events and execute on logistics to support these critical program components.
+ Keep a great ongoing relationship with current partners and offer new ways to grow the partnership.
+ Produce reports and regular updates for weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports.
Minimum Education/Experience Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) and two (2) years of experience in job development or recruitment.
Other Requirements:
+ Relevant education and years of experience described above.
+ Proven track record of career-level job development with established employer contacts in fields such as finance, IT, healthcare, education, and engineering.
+ One (1) year of staff supervisory experience required.
+ Strong leadership, critical thinking, judgment, and problem solving skills.
+ Excellent ability to network with employers and community partners to generate outcomes for clients.
+ Communicates effectively verbally and in-writing with proven experience delivering presentations to internal and external audiences.
+ Strong documentation skills, including an ability to accurately record client information and complete necessary paperwork.
+ Able to multi-task and work effectively in fast-paced, high volume, and deadline driven environments.
+ Demonstrated ability to work with refugees, asylees, immigrant, low-income, and young adult job seekers.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Work, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
+ Bilingual preferred in Ukrainian, Russian, Creole, Spanish, or French (prioritized according to program needs).
Compensation: $75,000 annually
When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.
Status: Full-time (35 hours per week)
