Specialty Admissions Manager (Towson, Full Time)

General Summary:

Under the general direction of the Chief of Access & Integrated Care and using independent judgment and skills that greatly impact the success of the programs, oversees all admissions/intake functions for assigned specialty programs. Supervises intake, clinical assessment, care and communication and directly provides these services for an estimated 25-40% of the time in order to ensure all individuals presenting/referred receive compassionate care and efficient access to the services they need. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with referring physicians, practices and hospital emergency rooms to facilitate admissions and transfers. Handles all significant issues or problems in the specialty admissions program. Initiates community outreach efforts to increase awareness of specialty services. Supervises assigned staff.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Must meet one of the following education/licensure criteria: Completion of appropriate Master’s degree; LGPC required and LCPC license preferred; Completion of Master’s degree in Social Work; LGSW required and LCSW-C license preferred, or Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and RN license. Work requires at least three years of clinical experience that includes: knowledge of mental health problems and psychosocial treatment modalities sufficient to provide clinical intake and assessment; responsibility for clinical assessment and referral; marketing/referrer relations skills; and experience entering and working with data in electronic systems. Experience with customer relationship manager (CRM) system strongly preferred. Must have superior customer service orientation and strong attention to detail.
