East West Bank is seeking a Specialty Deposit Officer. The Specialty Deposit Officer for the SE Region will be responsible for all phases of client management and business development of a public sector and nonprofit deposit portfolio. They will provide extensive deposit banking services and deposit banking investments to the public and nonprofit sector.
Responsibilities Develop deposit relationships with public sector and nonprofit entitiesIdentify and analyze potential deposit markets to developExtensive relationship management and business developmentManage and maintain, as a single point of contact, new and existing customer relationships including client onboarding, KYC risk assessment and internal reviewsProvide weekly excel portfolio management to Team Lead and other reporting as directedMeasure performance on annual average net deposit growth, revenue, and cost of fundsIssue and manage deposit collateral requirementsPerform documented annual audit accounts confirmationsOngoing study of municipal and nonprofit banking laws and legislative updatesNegotiate approved deposit conditions with any governing board/department, overseeing the fiscal responsibilities of the public or nonprofit entityNegotiate Request for Banking Proposal’s (RFP’s) and Request for Banking Qualification’s (RFQ’s)Acquire qualified referrals from existing clientsCross sell Bank products and servicesAnalyze financial statements including fiscal budgets, special legislation tax issues, project cash flow projections, draw down schedules, RFP’s, investment bids, and RFQ’sBuild successful relationships with retail banking partners, public sector advisory firms, government focused support organizations, nonprofit entities and community leadersParticipate in East West Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and other planned regional functionsCreate market brandingManage participation of attendance at conferences and any sponsorship function/eventPresent educational seminars specific to public industry knowledge and best practices - public speaking and public presentation skills required for this roleRecommend and implement appropriate changes to establish policies and proceduresManage support staff, if applicableManage interdepartmental process and communications as directedAdminister the day-to-day operation as directedOther duties as assigned Qualifications 5+ years of public sector banking experience (preferred)5+ years of direct portfolio management experience (preferred)Proven sales track record and strong negotiation skillsBachelor’s degree in banking, finance, or another related fieldStrong Finance backgroundStrong knowledge base in Banking, Treasury and Economic OutlookExcellent written and oral communication skillsEfficient, self-motivated and hard workingAbility to work independently and effectively as part of a team, while handling multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneouslyProven sales track record and strong negotiation skills Compensation The base pay range for this position is USD $67,000.00/Yr. - USD $75,000.00/Yr.
