This position is responsible for liaising with all Food & Beverage operations in evaluating financial records, coordinating and strategizing with leaders to create efficiencies. Assist Food & Beverage departments to ensure optimum service to guests. This position is responsible for supporting all Food & Beverage operations in maintaining accurate financial records. This is an overview of tasks: + Expert Knowledge of MICROS, Open Tables, and Guest bridge essential + Extraction, preparation and analyzing of month end financial data + Reviewing budgeting and forecasting details for F&B + Compiles information, analyzes and monitors actual sales against projected sales + Prepares revenue and profit opportunity analysis while sourcing alternatives in order to create efficiencies + Analyzing and sourcing alternatives in order to create efficiencies + Record, store, and/or analyze information using property software + Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals, ledgers, and/or computers + Prepare, maintain, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing reports and tables. + Generate finance/accounting reports from computer system as needed + Booking, re-confirming, and paying vendors + Required strong computer skills and able to manage all Microsoft applications. + Preparation of month end financial package that includes consolidation of Accruals, Re-classes, pre-paid accounts + Updating of F&B checkbooks, purchase order coding + Maintain expense tracking in F&B + Audit, Consolidation and verification / accuracy of F&B inventories + Coding and processing of invoice payments in relation to F&B purchases + Assist in preparing the restaurant for service and maintaining the cleanliness of the room at all times. + Courteously greet and escort guests to table and assist in seating, ensuring hotel’s standards of service Prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process (e.g., proposals, contracts, or banquet event orders). Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally. Gather materials and assemble information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials). Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott. Assist the management team to develop, implement and execute the revenue, revenue and marketing programs for all outlets and room service. Develop, coordinate and implement social media initiatives as well as beverage promotional programs. Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify information (e.g., commissions, leads, third parties) in software involved in the sales process. Answer guest questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, rates and room types, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants, special events). Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests. Coordinate reservation confirmations for special and holiday events for parties of six people or more in the restaurant. Coordinate selling of all food and beverage in hospitality suites through the Room Service Department. Perform general office duties to support Champions and Room Service (e.g., filing, sending emails, typing, faxing, and copying). Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure personal appearance is professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance; stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
