Description The Director of Cardiovascular Services will assume responsibility for the efficient and safe operation of the Cardiac Catherization Labs, Electrophysiology Labs, Cardiology post-interventional units and the associated admission recovery area in an acute care facility. The director will be responsible for maintaining effective communication with the cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and other members of the Medical Staff who utilize the services of the department. Responsible for the financial management of cardiac services including budgeting, payroll, and equipment purchases. Responsible for future planning in regard to advances in cardiac procedures and business development. Attends and/or conducts regular meetings with the cardiologists and attends various hospital committee meetings. Responsible for the growth, development and expansion of the eICU program.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a bachelor's degree required in a related field. A Master's degree preferred. A combination of education and appropriate experience may be considered, must obtain Bachelor's degree in related field within reasonable timeframe upon hire. A minimum of three (3) years progressive management experience with at least seven (7) years in the field. Must have the ability to analyze and resolve problems in a manner supportive of hospital policy. Must have an understanding of financial and statistical formats. Must have the ability to communicate effectively. Must have a high degree of self-motivation and ability to function independently. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality.
