The Specialty Dispensing Pharmacist 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. The Specialty Dispensing Pharmacist 2 applies clinical and operational expertise to ensure effective and compliant processing and dispensing of Specialty pharmacy prescription orders to be mailed to patients' homes and/or provider offices. Interacts directly with Providers and Patients to solve complex and/or escalated issues related to Specialty Rx medication including resolving issues related to drug interactions and dependencies. Develops and integrates programs developed to improve overall health outcomes with a focus on Specialty prescription drugs. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
