Find your purpose as a Specialty Scheduling Assistant at the Nephrology department located at CentraCare River Campus.
Specialty Scheduling Assistants will set up lab and office visits, send appointment reminders to patients, and often go into patient exam rooms at the end of the visit to schedule any follow up appointments that are needed. Other responsibilities include scheduling chronic kidney disease education sessions ordered by the provider, scheduling appointments with the Nephrology MTM pharmacist, and ensuring that follow up with our clinic is completed in a timely manner so that patients seen in the hospital have the necessary nephrology appointments set up for them. Strong computer, phone, and in-person communication skills are essential. In this department you have the chance to get to know our patients. Often you get to see patients on a regular basis, so you get to know them and their families.
