Job Summary
Under general supervision and collaboration with the W&C Manager, plans, organizes, directs and controls all activities involved in the effective, efficient, and economical utilization of material resources and personnel, ensuring patient service is continuous and of high quality. Responsible for orientation, training, and development of personnel. Responsible for streamlining the nursing process for maternal and neonatal patient populations by identifying and addressing learning needs and performance improvement opportunities. Relates effectively with team members for continuity of care; maintains satisfactory relations with other departments and nursing units and participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures and skills.
Registered Nurses have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities, surveys, and improvement initiatives. In addition, Registered Nurses must uphold the standards of the Texas Nurse Practice Act.

2 years of L&D nursing experience.Required Licenses/Certifications
Registered Nurse Certified Nurse in the Inpatient Obstetric or Low Risk Neonatal (must be certified within 12 months of hire in this position) Advanced Life Support (ACLS) Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) Electronic Fetal Monitoring NRP ProviderRequired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
