Job Title: Specifications Specialist

Job Description

The Specifications Specialist will work cross-functionally with various teams to ensure raw material and finished products specifications are accurate and compliant within the SAP PLM system. This role is integral in creating and maintaining internal specifications, leading PLM trainings, and analyzing supplier documents to eliminate discrepancies. The Specialist will also serve as a liaison with IT business partners to support technical issues with SAP systems and maintain a thorough understanding of compliance requirements, identifying gaps in documentation.

ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain internal specifications.Lead PLM trainings for new employees and cross-functional teams.Analyze supplier documents to eliminate discrepancies in data.Serve as liaison with IT business partners to support technical issues with SAP systems.Maintain understanding of compliance requirements and identify gaps in documentation.Revise specifications in a timely manner and update relevant stakeholders as needed.Work directly with regulatory departments and communicate updates to raw material specifications, ensuring updates are captured in Genesis and PLM.Assist in the product development process to ensure all regulatory and business requirements are met.Essential Skills2-3 years of SAP experience.3 years of experience in the food industry, preferably in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods).BS in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.Knowledge of SAP PLM, food science, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, food development processes, bill of material, and Genesis.Additional Skills & Qualifications3-5 years of experience in regulatory, quality, or R&D at a CPG company preferred.Organized, detail-oriented, and excellent technical writing skills.Comfortable communicating with stakeholders from all levels of management.Self-directed, motivated, and good time management skills.Knowledge of SAP PLM and food product development processes.Work Environment

This is a hybrid position with 1 day on site. The Specialist will work on a specifications team of 10 individuals and collaborate cross-functionally with Regulatory, R&D (InTech, Commercialization), Quality, and Procurement teams. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
