Specimen Management Specialist

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Problem Resolution Specialist to join our team in Englewood, CO. This position will investigate and drive solutions so specimen issues can be addressed accurately and efficiently. They will provide product education and handle a wide variety of questions while ensuring a world-class customer experience. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Customer Service and motivated to work with a customer centric team in an innovative company.

Application Window: 12/20/2024 - 2/20/2025

**Pay Range: $20.50 - $24.50 per hour

Plus a 3rd shift differential

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. 

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8pm to 4:30am. Additional days and hours may be required depending on business needs.

Job Responsibilities:

Act a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients.Resolve internal & external customer requests via calls, instant messenger & email communicationsCommunicates with customers in respectful and professional manner.Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions.Provide customer education and information as needed.Review test forms for accuracy and report any discrepancies.Prepare and triage specimens for analysis.Accurately identify and label specimens.Pack and ship specimens as necessary.Prepare and store excess specimen samples.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent requiredAssociates degree or higher is preferredPrior medical/clinical laboratory experience is preferredFamiliarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures is preferredExcellent communication skills; both written and verbalComfortable handling biological specimensAbility to accurately identify specimensExperience working in a team environmentStrong data entry and organizational skillsHigh level of attention to detailProficient in MS OfficeAbility to lift up to 40lbs.Ability to pass a standardized color blind test
