We are seeking a responsible and focused Specimen Processor with outstanding attention to detail to enhance our team. Ideal candidates will have a collaborative spirit and a commitment to supporting both our patients and our team’s goals.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Administrative duties: Verifying accuracy of client and specimen details, answering phones, and monitoring for safety hazards.Technical responsibilities: Receiving, sorting, and labeling specimens according to strict guidelines; aliquoting and centrifuging specimens; processing samples to meet turnaround times; and translating physician orders and diagnoses.Accurate data management: Ensuring correct data entry and patient identification while maintaining specimen integrity from collection to transfer.Specimen handling: Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs, ensuring proper labeling and handling.Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participating in departmental quality assurance.Flexibility: Covering shifts at different sites as needed to maintain smooth operations and performing other assigned duties.

Pay: $18.98 - $25.69 Per Hour DOE

OSHA Category: This role involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues, with Hepatitis-B vaccination offered to all performing these duties.
