Description
Review specimen package (packaged dried blood, dried urine and saliva) for complete information and route specimen to the appropriate destination within the company. Receive and open specimen packages. Attach relevant paperwork and samples. Review requisitions for complete patient and billing information. Accession laboratory specimens and deliver to the lab for testing. Accurately log patient information from requisition form into company software. Document scanning. Route requisitions/payments to the appropriate department for processing. Packages are small and come through UPS each morning (around 500-1200/day). Working as a team with coworkers to identify, label, and enter info into computer.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED. Data Entry experience and/or strong typing skills (45+ WPM & 90%+ accuracy). Experience with specimen processing and/or handling human specimens preferred. Basic computer literacy/proficiency (ability to do basic computer troubleshooting, navigate between multiple applications/browser tabs, etc.) Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion. Good communication skills, flexibility, and adaptability. Sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Lifting up to 25 lbs. Attention to detail. Adherence to safety guidelines for handling of hazardous materials and equipment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.00/hr.
