Job Title: Specimen Processor (Overnight shift) Great opportunity to work with a nationwide laboratory facility that utilizes cutting-edge technology and instrumentation! Job Description Specimen processors take incoming samples and input data into the computer system/create labeling for samples Will be handling the enclosed samples with PPE but DO NOT directly touch open swabs or perform tests on samples + Receive, identify, label, and process specimens as required for processing + Maintain departmental production goals to ensure hourly specimen flow to the labs are consistent + Review, transcribe, and enter demographic and specimen data into the laboratory information system with 100% accuracy + Recognize specimen problems and refer to designated personnel + File requisition slips, glass slides, and paraffin blocks assisting laboratory aide(s) as needed + Perform supply maintenance and clean-up duties to help workflow and efficiency Qualifications + Overnight experience + High school diploma/GED + Comfortable working with human samples + Pass a typing test with proficiency and accuracy Soft Skills + Ability to handle a fast-paced environment + Multi-tasking + Strong organizational skills + Ability to handle monotonous work Job Type This is a contract position with a duration of 4-6 Month(s). Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Elmwood Park, New Jersey.
