Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

Administers speech and language therapy treatments to patients as per physician's orders using modalities and techniques appropriate for the individual patient. Makes an initial and periodic evaluation of the patient's speech and language and rehabilitation needs. Sets long and short-term goals in measurable terms and adjusts treatment plans accordingly. Consults with the Rehabilitation Therapies Coordinator and nursing staff to make joint decisions regarding continuation of, or dismissal from care when the need for speech therapist treatment is no longer necessary. Assist with the orientation and/or guidance of new staff members professional and non-professional, nursing students, volunteers, and special visitors. 

 

Job Type: Fee for Service

 

Salary:  $150 per visit

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

Current NYS Registered Speech Language-Pathologist License 1 year experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting 

Education:
