Description: PEDIATRIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. ADULT, VOICE, MBSS EXPERIENCE PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED.
Job Summary:
Provide evaluation, diagnosis, evidence based treatment, and prevention measures to patients related to speech, language, learning, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing/feeding and fluency disorders. Develop and implement patient care plans. Provide patient care within an integrated Care Delivery (IGP) model including coordinated care with physicians, family and other team members with regards to diagnosis, intervention and progress. Fulfill all documentation and coding requirements. Follow Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington and departmental policies and procedures. Comply with all regulatory requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose and provide treatment for speech, language/learning, cognitive-communication, swallowing and fluency disorders.
Complete required procedure or visit documentation and coding.
Contribute to program development and quality activities. Meet continuing education, certification and training requirements.
Provide feedback to team per integrated Care Delivery model.
Basic Qualifications: Experience
Minimum nine (9) months experience as a clinical speech-language pathologist. Paid clinical speech-language pathologist fellowship experience may be considered towards the experience requirement. Education
Masters degree in communication disorders or speech-language pathology. License, Certification, Registration Speech-Language Pathologist License (Washington) required at hire Basic Life Support required at hire Additional Requirements:
Clinical competence for age(s), populations, and disorders based on job site location that may include; autism spectrum disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, feeding aversion, adult neurogenic disorder, dysphagia, speech, language, fluency, voice, and cognitive-communication.Must be proficient with computers including Word, Excel, Epic, SonaSpeech.Completed Clinical Fellowship. Preferred Qualifications:
Five (5) years of clinical experience.Lee Silverman Voice Treatment Certification obtained shortly after date of hire/transfer.Expert level of competence with skills that include specialty training in FEES, videofluoroscopy, videostroboscopy,American Sign Language, PROMPT, and accent modification.
