Speech Language Pathologist, Per Diem, Rotating

Description:Reporting to the Supervisor Rehab Services, Physical Therapy Inpatient, This position is responsible for administration and direct application of Speech-Language pathology treatment as referred by a physician to restore function and prevent disability following disease of injury. Evaluate, plan, direct and treat all patients.

Level I: The incumbent in this position is required to have successfully graduated from an approved program satisfying the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's academic practicum requirements for the Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) with a Bachelor's or Masters degree, ASHA certification (or its equivalent) in Speech-Language Pathology. Hold or be eligible for current California Speech-Language Pathologist Licensure and current Basic Life Support card are also required.

Level II: Above requirements. Current California Speech-Language Pathologist Licensure and current Basic Life Support card are also required. The incumbent must also have greater than one-year experience at SAMC or equivalent and completion of 100 hours of continuing education in alignment with services and programs at SAMC.

Level III: Five years experience required with a minimum of two years of progressive responsibilities, (e.g. supervision of Speech Therapy Interns, Program development and Policy/Procedure development) with certification in an area of specialty from a nationally recognized continuing education organization indicative of advance clinical expertise.

Pay Range: $44.91 - $62.87
