Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Speech Therapist to join the Bridgton Hospital Therapy Servies team!

The Opportunity:

Bridgton Hospital is seeking an experienced Speech Therapist for full-time opportunity on our Speech Therapy team!

This position makes a direct positive impact on Maine's lake region community by providing one-on-one Speech Therapy services to patients of all ages. What You’ll Do

Diagnoses speech/language or swallowing disorders/delays

Provides intervention/consultations for patients who demonstrate disorders/delays in speech, language, communication and/or swallowing.

Provides treatment and instruction to patients according to acceptable principles and practices of Speech/Language Therapy.

Follows acceptable principles/practices of the American Speech Language Hearing Association.

Provide care to patients in the acute and outpatient settings.

Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities

Collaborate as a member of the healthcare team for the provision of comprehensive patient care.

Consistent with training and competency review, provides care to Inpatient pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Maintains training and competency as applicable in regulatory requirements such as JCAHO (if applicable), and state and federal regulations and standards.

Coordinate, delegate and supervise responsibilities assigned to assistants, aides, etc.

Ability to meet current documentation standards and policies in a timely fashion.

Basic computer skills.

Requirements and Qualifications for the Position

Current Maine Licensure in Speech Pathology.

Obtain or eligible for Clinical Competence Certificate through the American Speech Language, Hearing Association.

Current BCLS certification.
