Speech Language Pathologist
Summary We are hiring for a Speech Language Pathologist/ Speech Therapist to join our team in Senior Living. As a Speech Therapist, you can expect:  the ability to build in-person trusted therapist-patient relationships   continuing education and tuition reimbursement opportunities  independence and autonomy   career growth possibilities  Responsibilities Evaluates the patient to determine rehab potential, identify needs, establishes an individualized treatment plan of care and set goals for each patient. Sets initial STG's and LTG's. Utilizes equipment in a proper and safe manner, maintains equipment inspection, maintenance, and cleaning logs, and reports broken or faulty equipment. Follows medical regimen developed for the patient, is aware of and adheres to precautions if applicable (THR, TKR, Cardiac, Wound, etc.). Utilizes safe treatment techniques to include compensatory methods for swallowing and communication. Selects proper diagnostic materials to assess all aspects of communication and/or swallowing function. Completes D/C summary for each patient on their final visit to outpatient ST. Education and Experience Current Speech Language Pathologist licensure in state of practice. Current CPR certification required. Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
