Job Description: Speech Language Pathologist
Location: Morton Grove, IL 60053
Start Date: Mid to Late January (Flexible) – through May 29th
Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute break
Caseload: Approx. 35 students (Pre-K – 8th Grade)
Salary: $60,000- $74,000 / Hourly: $48.70 - $60.06
AnthroMed Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the remainder of the school year, starting in mid to late January in Morton Grove. This position is ideal for candidates based north of the city or those looking for a rewarding role in a school setting. The SLP will work with a diverse group of students across various grade levels, including blended preschool, students receiving specialized services, and those in general education.
Key Responsibilities:Provide individual and group speech therapy services to students ranging from Pre-K through 8th grade, with a focus on students with speech and language impairments.Manage a caseload of approximately 35 students, including preschool students, SLP-only students, and students in general education.Conduct speech and language assessments, develop IEP goals, and provide progress monitoring for students.Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to support students' speech and language development.Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of students’ individualized education plans.Use the Embrace IEP system for documentation and tracking of student progress.Provide consultation and support to classroom teachers regarding speech-language strategies and interventions for students.Share office space with another SLP, collaborating on resources and strategies to best support students' needs.Qualifications:Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.Valid Illinois State Professional Educator License (PEL) Knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment, and therapy techniques.Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.Benefits and Compensation:Flexible start date (mid to late January) with the position running through May 29th, 2024.Opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic school environment.Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM with a 30-minute break.Collaborative work environment with another SLP.
