Program focuses on return to highest level of independence possible as well as community reintegration for patients with acquired brain injuries and additional co-morbidities including aphasia, cognitive communication deficits, motor speech disorders, dysphagia. Candidates who have strengths or particular interest in community re-integration (including returning patients to work and school) is preferred. Patients are treated as part of a multidisciplinary team, six hours a day, Monday through Friday. Cognitive rehab, TBI and CVA experience required. Looking for candidates who are creative, innovative and work well on a team.
Qualifications• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association or eligibility for Certification pending professional experience (CFY - Clinical Fellowship Year) preferred.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
