AnthroMed Education is expanding our team of Speech Language Pathologists who support our students throughout the state of Michigan, and we want you to be a part of our team! We are seeking a compassionate and skilled SLP to join our team at partner Middle and High School in Birmingham, MI! The chosen SLP will take over a caseload of (maximum) 55 students, starting at the end of April through the end of the school year. As the SLP, you will support middle and high schools students with articulation, language, and functional communication needs. Knowledge of high tech AAC devices will be a benefit! You will collaborate with special education teachers, support staff, and families to design and implement individualized speech and language therapy programs that address the unique needs of each student. Speech Language Pathologist Requirements:

Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication DisordersValid MI SLP licensePreferred experience in a K-12 settingClinical Fellows are welcome to apply!

Speech Language Pathologist Duties:

Evaluate student’s speech-language abilities to prepare and conduct treatment plansProvide high-quality direct speech-language therapy services to students according to the students’ IEPsConduct assessments, translate, and analyze assessment results, and develop reports to determine strengths and concerns in areas of speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skillsUse professional literature, evidence-based research, and continuing education to make practice decisionsCreate a learning environment characterized by effective and efficient process management strategies (procedures, instructional groups, transition materials)Participate in IEP conferences, team meetings, and problem-solving meetingsDevelop treatment plans, in conjunction with instructional staff, that are strength-based, as well as child and family-centered for overall educational improvementEnsure evaluations, intervention plans, and service delivery are aligned with school, state, and federal guidelinesAssist and guide teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language delays/disordersOther duties as assigned
