Position Purpose:
This individual is responsible to plan and implement habilitative/rehabilitative programs for individuals who exhibit speech/language/swallowing problems.
Hours/Schedule:
PRN; as needed. Hours will be based on needs of the department. This job includes a weekend and holiday rotation, day shift.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in the area of Speech/Language Pathology required
Must have demonstrated competence in an acute patient care setting for at least one-year.
CFY supervision is available for those with no experience.
Current licensure from the Iowa Department of Public Health
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is desirable.
Special aptitudes include tact, understanding and compassion and ability to communicate well with other professionals, patients and their families, both verbal and written.
