Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in our residents. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents and contribute to their communication and swallowing abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and residents' goals. Provide direct therapy services to residents to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and holistic care planning. Educate residents and their families about speech and language disorders, treatment strategies, and techniques for enhancing communication and swallowing safety. Document evaluation results, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Indiana. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred. Previous experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practice in speech-language pathology. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Compassion and empathy for residents with communication and swallowing disorders.
